Gevril Morcote Diamond
Gevril Morcote Diamond
Gevril's Morcote Collection presents a singular masterpiece, a design of unrivaled splendor that graces us only once in a lifetime. It emerges as an exceptional timepiece, redefining classic beauty with a modern and refined sensibility.
Deriving its inspiration from idyllic landscapes and a region steeped in historical preservation, this collection pays homage to the timeless beauty of one of Switzerland's most exquisite villages. Much like the pristine environment that nurtured its inception, Morcote draws on the hues and elements of Mother Nature to create an atmosphere of unparalleled elegance. Just as the graceful curves of mountains embrace a serene lake, the 36mm brushed polished case embraces a resplendent mother-of-pearl dial that proudly carries the mantle of "the Pearl of Ceresio," a tribute to its namesake. The pièce de résistance of this timepiece is its dial, adorned with twelve diamonds that serve as refined indices, each capturing a moment in time with exceptional grace.
However, the collection's magnificence does not stop there. It extends to an option featuring a remarkable display of luxury—an extraordinary assemblage of eighty diamonds totaling a lavish carat and a half, adorning the case in harmonious celebration of nature's opulent beauty and its seamless, organic lines. Each of these captivating watches is elegantly coupled with a Stainless Steel Bracelet, secured by Deployment Buckle—a union that aptly represents the union of land and sea, a testament to nature's unmatched grandeur.
Embark on a journey into the realm of Morcote, for a beauty as sublime as this is meant to be celebrated. Beyond being a mere watch, Morcote becomes an enchanting experience that demands admiration. It's not just an accessory; it's a captivating encounter that beckons you to immerse yourself in its alluring essence.

The history of Gevril watches is a story that combines an illustrious watchmaking past with an innovative modern revitalization. The company origins date back to the mid-18th century and Jacques Gevril, the gifted Swiss watchmaker who is the founder and inspiration of the eponymous brand.
Today the Gevril name endures thanks to the vision of a Swiss horologist and businessman who lifted the brand to its current heights as an established Swiss watch company.
Jacques Gevril was an up-and-coming watch and clockmaker in 1758 when he accompanied his colleague Pierre Jaquet-Droz on a trip to Madrid. There, the men presented a selection of complex musical automata to King Ferdinand VI. The king was so impressed he bought every piece.
Jaquet-Droz returned home the following year but Gevril remained in Spain to fortify his reputation as a master watchmaker and was appointed Royal Watchmaker by the king. Gevril lived in Spain for many years thereafter, refining his craft and producing watches for the Crown.
Gevril’s traditions were survived by future generations of Gevril watchmakers including Moyse Gevril and Daniel Gevril, who built their reputations on horological innovations and artistic enameling techniques.
Today Gevril pocket watches are highly collectible: one is even located in the Muséum Genève and another is part of the collection of the Wilsdorf family, founders of Rolex.
